Teenage girl's leg rots !!! after being bitten by a snake !!

Her leg dies and rots as a result of a snake bite. How did that happen?
Not all snakebites are dangerous. Not all snakes are venomous and they can kill by just squeezing you very tight. Those which possess venom can kill you in an instant. A girl in Venezuela is a different case. She was crippled after a snake bite.

An anonymous 13-year-old girl was bitten by a snake. The bite caused a laceration to an artery in her leg, resulting to a compartment syndrome where the compartment pressure rises and blood flow to the tissues is prevented. If the tissue damage is severe, it could result to a loss of a body function, part or even death.

Severe necrosis, or the death of cells in a localized area of a tissue or organ due to injury, happened after the girl was bitten. This caused her leg tissues to die, the leg becoming withered and rotten. Traditional remedies didn't work and a month in hospital treatment didn't heal her leg. The sad news is her leg will have to be amputated due to severe tissue necrosis. If not removed, she might die due to the poison.

"The whole lower leg is black. It's spreading up. Looking at the rest of her body, she's showing signs of muscle wastage from the poison. Her other leg is thin. It's likely she will die."

It is apparent that the girl was not given any treatment for the snake bite immediately after she was bitten. It is important that she was given an anti-venom treatment to control the venom from spreading. Delay and neglect cost her a leg and her life if the spread will not be controlled.

The species of the snake which bit her is unknown. Taking extra care will not hurt, will it !!!?
