Parents sold their infant daughter to buy iPhone !!!

Some couples are trying hard to conceive a baby, but look what these Chinese parents do to their own infant daughter just to get an expensive gadget.

The iPhone has its way to make people do crazy things. The latest is out there in China. While it is well known that these phones are more expensive and highly coveted in that country than in most other places, one Chinese man took it to the extent that he purchased an Apple smartphone with money he made from selling his newborn baby.

To buy himself a new iPhone and a motorbike, this 19-year old man sold his newborn daughter. The man met the buyer on popular Chinese social network QQ and sold his daughter for 23,000 Yuan which converts to around $3,500, report stated by Chinese website Epoch Times. What makes the situation even stranger is that the wife of the man didn’t have any problem with the sale of her child.

According to a report, the mother of the sold baby was a minor, still to complete high-school and was doing multiple part-time jobs. She was left in the city, but tracked down by the police and arrested eventually.

The mother admitted that she herself, was adopted and many people in her hometown send their kids to other people to raise them. Interestingly, she claimed that she didn’t know that selling the child was illegal.

A Duan, the father of the child, even has been handed a three years sentence, but the judge suspended the sentence of the mother to two and half years after taking into account the difficult circumstance.

After the parents were arrested, the buyer of the child has also turned himself in. The child, however, is still in the custody of the buyer’s sister, as the parents have been arrested and are in no position to take care of their child.

When it comes down to the iPhone, people are known to do crazy things. Some have sold their kidneys to get an iPhone. In many instances, people have flocked to sperm banks to donate their sperm to make money to buy the Apple smartphone.

This gadget is expensive and people have shown tendencies to go to extreme lengths to purchase one. In India too, iPhone is very expensive. In fact, it is the most expensive place in the world to get one.

In China, things are different, but then it is also true that iPhone is one of the most popular gadgets in the market. !!
