A new mother was left shocked and devastated when her partner secretly married another woman, while she was giving birth to their baby.

This 24 year-old woman named Heather McGillion was in hospital where she went through complications with her pregnancy. She’s thousands of miles from her boyfriend, Adonis Rodriguez.

The two met as entertainers for tourists in the Dominican Republic. They were excitedly planning for their future together after spending more than a year as a couple.

Heather is a trained dancer, from Renfrewshire in Scotland. She fell pregnant and decided to come back to UK temporarily for the birth. Adonis is a Dominican. He stayed behind because he couldn’t get a visa. Heather believed that Adonis was left behind preparing for their new baby.

Leaving the mother of his child devastated and heartbroken at his betrayal, he took the chance to marry another woman. Heather welcomed her son Diego into world realizing what was happening. A friend sent her a message on Facebook showing a photo of Adonis marrying a German tourist.

She said that when she opened the message she felt like she had been hit by a double-decker bus. She saw Adonis had his arms around a woman who’s wearing a wedding dress. The more she thought about it, the more absurd it was and said that it didn’t make sense.

The new mother added that they had only been apart for a few weeks and there was no way Adonis could have met another woman and arranged a wedding in that short period of time. She didn’t notice who the other woman was for a second. Then, to her horror she realized it was Julia.

Julia was a German tourist who came to stay at the hotel. About a year ago, she noticed that Adonis had become friends with her on Facebook and they had been messaging each other.

According to her, it made her feel uneasy though it was nothing sexual. But Adonis assured her that there was nothing going on between them. She forgot all about it when she discovered she was pregnant.

Adonis admitted marrying Julia over the phone when Heather confronted him, claiming that he only did it for a visa.

So, she then phoned Adonis and asked if why was Julia in a wedding dress. Adonis paused and said sorry to her. Heather hung up and burst into tears. She found out and confirmed that he had been seeing Julia behind her back and that was when he said he had moved to another hotel to find work, he had been meeting up with Julia.

Julia traveled to visit Adonis four times, and Heather claimed the two plotted the wedding to coincide with the period when she was back in the UK.

Heather said that Julia knew all about her and Adonis and the baby but still married him. They had both planned it and that she was the only one not in the know, she said.

Despite these, she still moved back to the Dominican Republic with Diego. The baby is now three months old. Heather allows Adonis to visit him. She said that she has to come out again with her son because her mom retired there.

She felt so foolish for trusting Adonis but she keeps telling herself that there were no warning signs. She was treated like royalty by him and he was so excited about their baby.

She still can’t believe what happened. Adonis had given her the impression he wanted to be together forever but he married another woman while she was giving birth to his baby !!
